【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstwoproceduresforthemeasurementofthedensityofmaterialswhicharefluidatthedesiredtesttemperature.Itsapplicationisrestrictedtoliquidsofvaporpressuresbelow600mmHg(80kPa)andviscositiesbelow40000cSt(mm/s)atthetesttemperature.Themethodisdesignedforuseatanytemperaturebetween20and100?C.Itcanbeusedathighertemperatures;however,inthiscasetheprecisionsectiondoesnotapply.Note1-Forthedeterminationofdensityofmaterialswhicharefluidatnormaltemperatures,seeTestMethodD1217.Thistestmethodprovidesacalculationprocedureforconvertingdensitytospecificgravity.ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
